Terms and Conditions
This website is presented by Lift Byron Bus Service, Mullumbimby, NSW 2482.
This agreement is legally binding under Australian law once Lift Byron Bus Service have received the passenger(s) or the purchaser’s accurately completed electronic booking form with the required payment.
Lift Byron Bus Service make every effort to maintain its timetable services, however no responsibility can be taken for inconvenience due to delayed service and/or unforeseen event causing a delay (e.g. traffic conditions, weather, breakdown).
Fare is for passengers over 4 years old.
Although no fare is asked for children under 4 years old a additional charge of $10 per child is asked for providing a booster seat and/or a baby car seat.
The total number of luggage free of charge per passenger is one suitcase/bag (no more than 20 kg) and one small carry-on bag. Any excess of luggage or weight may not be able to be carried on the bus or will incur an additional charge of AUD$10 per item. Items over 25 kg or any additional luggage must receive prior approval from Lift Byron Bus Service before the booking is made. Surfboards (up to 2m and in a carry bag), golf clubs (in a travel bag), bikes (flat & in a travel bag), and any large items must receive prior approval from Lift Byron Bus Service. You may be refused travel if you have items which may inconvenience other passengers or which may pose a safety hazard.
Any exterior and/or interior damage done to Lift Byron Bus Service’s’ vehicles (eg. motion sickness, excessive alcohol consumption resulting in professional cleaning, scratches, seats stains…), will incur additional charges for the passenger(s).
Lift Byron Bus Service reserve the right to refuse travel, or remove any passenger(s) holding a ticket or booking reservation who is behaving in an inappropriate or threatening or disruptive manner from its vehicles. Smoking and/or the consumption of illicit/non-prescribed drugs and alcohol is strictly prohibited on board of any of Lift Byron Bus Service’s vehicles. Any incident of misbehaviour by any passenger(s) considered serious by the driver and/or by Lift Byron Bus Service’s management will be reported to the police.
Children must not stand on seats or climb on rails or handle bars. A child’s seat can be provided on request. Unaccompanied children under 14 years will not be allowed to travel without prior approval from Lift Byron Bus Service’s management.
Online and phone reservation
For early morning departures please book at least one day in advance before 6:30pm. Passengers who have reserved their ticket online must be able to provide confirmation of their purchase to our drivers. It can be a print out, a mobile/iPad screen proof or a confirmation reference. Passengers who have made a reservation by telephone or sms will need to provide the driver with the reservation reference.
Delayed Flights – Delay at departure from pick up location
Lift Byron Bus Service is not responsible for delayed flights. Passengers who arrive on a delayed flight and miss their pre-scheduled bus from the Gold Coast airport will have to make alternative travel arrangements at their own expense as no refund will be issued. Our drivers cannot wait for delayed flights or late passengers.
Cancellation and refund
Should a client cancel a confirmed reservation (unforeseen event, missed flight, delayed flight, etc), a cancellation fee shall be due to Lift Byron Bus Service as set below:
- A cancellation by the client(s) between 72 hours and 24 hours before the scheduled date and time of departure: a cancellation fee of $15 will be retained
- A cancellation by the client(s) between 24 hours and 12 hours before the scheduled date and time of departure: a cancellation fee of $25 will be retained
- A cancellation by the client(s) less than 12 hours before the scheduled date and time of departure: no refund and no rescheduling
Depending on availabilities, changes to a later date or rescheduling to a different time on the same date may be accepted without penalty.
At its own discretion, Lift Byron Bus Service may refuse or cancel a booking 24 hours before the date and time of departure. This will incur a total refund to the passenger(s).
Note: A $10 fee will be retained on all refunds to cover our merchant fees.
In some cases (unforeseen vehicle breakdown, vehicle defect), Lift Byron Bus Service may have to use vehicles other than their own but these Terms and Conditions shall continue to apply to carriage by such substituted vehicles.
Byron Bus Service cannot be responsible whatsoever for any claim and/or damage encountered before and after a bus transfer, charter or tour, carried out by Lift Byron Bus Service or during a bus transfer if the claim/damage is proved to be the passenger’s fault or responsibility.
The reproduction of part or all of the contents in any form of Lift Byron Bus Service (www.liftbyronbusservice.com.au) website is prohibited for personal and commercial use. It should not be copied and/or shared with a third party.Lift Byron Bus Service reserve the right to reject a booking reservation and refund any payment made by a passenger or purchaser, at any time prior to a reservation.
After reading and understanding our Terms and Conditions before purchasing a ticket, there should not be any confusion or false expectations regarding our services. If any doubt, please contact us by phone 04 23 512 875 between 8:00am to 6:00pm (AEST) from Monday to Sunday.
